(Don't) Take a Sip
Interactive installation about alcohol consumption and domestic violence
The installation highlights alcohol as a dangerous trigger for domestic conflict, using a tilt sensor to visually represent escalating situations. It incorporates research on victims' injuries and aims to break the mood through interaction.
A tilt sensor tracks the drinking motion of the bottle: the further it is tilted, the more documentary injury photographs appear on screen, illustrating the link between alcohol consumption and the rise in domestic violence cases. As the bottle returns upright, the number of images falls again.
